Avery and Fred: A Dialogue

Fred brought his favorite toy over to where Avery was playing on the floor and the following conversation took place:

Avery: "That's a nice slipper you have there."
Fred: "It's mine. You don't touch."

Avery: "But I'd really like to see it."
Fred: "Hmmm. You'd have to be extra careful."

Avery: "I will, I promise."
Fred: "Okay, maybe just for a minute then."

7 seconds later . . . .
Fred: "Okay, that's long enough. I'll take that back now."
Avery: "Hey!"
They had a pretty good time and Fred was veeerrrrry gentle and shared with her like a good boy, if even for just a few seconds - too cute! He deserved a biscuit!
Fred: "Did someone say 'biscuit'?"

Fred: "I'm such a good boy!"
Ginger: "All this playing has me exhausted."

The blog has taken a back seat . . .

So this being a full-time working mom thing pretty much sucks. As you might expect, there's just not enough hours in the day. So, that's my excuse for not having updated the blog in about 2 months.

I don't really have any fantastic stories to tell at the moment, so I'll just let the photos do their job - that's what you're all really looking for anyway, right?

Santa was a hit - though I hear this may be the last time she'll actually be happy sitting on Santa's lap for awhile.

Baby Avery can crawl a little these days - but mostly just backwards. Hence, sometimes you can find her randomly in the middle of the floor . .

or under the couch . . .

She's also enjoying eating . . .

er . . I mean, reading

And playing with her laptop. . . . she's so smart!

The gloworm she got for Christmas from cousin Liz is fantastic!

Her bouncy chair is also still a hit - thanks Auntie Alexis and Auntie Abbie.

And playing with Daddy is a blast . . .

And just plain being cute is also still in style.
